Alisa was born and raised here in Flagstaff as part of a musical family and has always enjoyed playing instruments, singing in choirs and performing in musical theater! She has a Master's degree in Elementary Education from NAU, teaching elementary school for 17 years, and voice privately for 3. She has sung at Black Bart's for about 20 years and also teaches young children, providing early music experiences at Music Together of Flagstaff for the past 6 years.She has two amazing sons: Taylor (24) and Isaac (15). Both of them are very musical! She loves singing, teaching, and traveling, and feels grateful to be able to share her love of music with kids and adults in the community.

Music is my first love and professional career goal. I am currently a Vocal Performance major with a Cultural and Arts Management Minor at NAU in Flagstaff Arizona. I teach Spanish to grade levels first through eighth grade with the Flagstaff Montessori schools. I'm a passionate musician and singer that has had contracts with Sacra Profana, San Diego Opera, San Diego Lyric Opera, Sorelle San Diego and La Jolla Symphony Chorus. I am Vice President of the Non-Profit organization Music for Purpose, as well as a music instructor for the same organization. I currently teach Voice, Piano, Violin, Ukelele and Guitar to all ages. I not only teach our students a new skill but the value and purpose behind the new skills they attain.
